Before your appointment

  • BOOKING: We are often booked out many weeks in advance! Please consider pre-booking future appointments if you are looking for a specific date and time, and when rescheduling, please be mindful we may need to book several weeks out from the original appointment. Appointments are confirmed on a "first come, first served" basis. To maximize the chances that your preferred appointment is available, we recommend confirming as soon as possible and do not guarantee the requested opening.  

  • CONSULTATIONS: First time visiting SENSE? Complimentary consultations are available and recommended for first-time color clients. We require a complimentary consultation for corrections and major projects to book the correct service time and price.

  • PARKING: Please plan ahead and give yourself sufficient *extra* time to find street parking as we are unable to accommodate appointments for clients who are more than 10 minutes late.

  • SALON HOURS: The salon is closed on Sundays & Mondays. While we do continue to check emails, there will be a longer than normal response time on those days. We do not have someone answering the phones when the salon is closed. 

  • CANCELLATION POLICY: We require a credit or debit card on file to secure all bookings. Please call or email to cancel your appointment with a minimum 24-hour notice. Late cancellations and no-shows will result in a 50% charge of services to your card on file. This policy is meant to ensure appointment efficiency and to protect stylists. Clients who violate this policy two or more times are subject to a 100% charge of services to your card on file.

    Email and text reminders are sent 48 hours prior to the scheduled service to allow for any desired changes. We mindfully consider life or family emergencies, and understand things happen!

During your appointment

  • DRUG & ALCOHOL POLICY: Alcohol and/or drugs are not permitted at Sense. Noticeably impaired clients will be turned away at our discretion and charged the full cost of the missed appointment. If you become significantly impaired during your appointment, you will be asked to leave and not return.

  • NO BUDDY SYSTEM: We kindly ask you to come solo to your appointment. Our space is tiny. Partners and kids are lovely, but unfortunately, we just don't have loads of space to host. Pets (big and small) are always welcome!

  • KIDS CUTS: We are only accepting clients aged 18 years or older.

  • REFUNDS: Sense does not offer refunds for completed services. Any corrections must be scheduled within 14 days of the initial appointment.

  • GRATUITY: Gratuity is never expected, but is greatly appreciated and accepted in the form of cash, personal check, or Venmo.
